Tip: When using a taxi or car service, make sure you are aware of cost before proceeding. If it is a taxi, make sure the meter is on. If you are using a flat rate car service/taxi/motorbike taxi, make sure you know the fee before embarking.
Tip: Compare the cost with booking directly with a hotel vs. booking through 3rd party website/app. You may get a better deal on one over the other depending on your dates of travel.
Tip 2: Always check the reservation cancellation policies. They may be different depending on the booking method.
Sending Money Abroad
Tip: Use modern clean bank notes when exchanging cash. Sometimes notes with rips or markings on them will be rejected by the money changer.
Tip 2: Compare exchange rates between the different companies as some have rates better than others.
Tip 3: Exchange larger denomination bank notes. Many money changers offer better rates for higher value bank notes.
Tip: Buying a local Thailand SIM card may save you much money over the roaming rates charged by your home service provider.
